Dia 09/Day 09 - Barco

on the day (May 17th)

After breakfast we went by boat to the same place where we swam on the seventh day, but today we did something else. In this place there were one or two houses, some areas where the villagers planted cassava, herbs, had acai palms and also many ants. A man showed us how to take the acai fruits and let us climb the palm trees ... or at least try. When everyone got tired, they showed how to take manioc poison and make manioc flour. For hungry people they made a large tapioca with butter and drank a lot of liquid. Then some people take a picture of a small snake. Congratulations to the girls who managed to hide their fear and smile at the camera for two seconds.

Around 12 o'clock we went out, had lunch and well rest because the afternoon came another adventure. We were divided into three groups and we went on boats looking for some critters. Uhuuuuuu! We find laziness basking in the tree. The bug tried to run but it did not work, of course. Next stop we did at an old hotel that did not work anymore. We just stopped, there was a tree full of little monkeys. We got bananas or cookies and showed them to them. It did not take long either and they started jumping into our boats and picking up the food. On the way back we went to the sunset in that wonderful nature, it was a paradise for the eyes. A bit sad that the next day the trip ends we returned to the boats but the day is not over yet. Our organizers had a surprise for us: party on the beach. We really enjoyed this evening, the last of the trip in the Amazon rainforest.
